PENN Entertainment preparing to open sportbooks in Missouri
Missouri residents are about to have new additions to casinos in the coming months, as PENN Entertainment has teased that new sportsbooks are coming to its Missouri properties. The group posted two positions for sportsbook managers before the state’s Dec. 1 sports betting launch.
The job postings are for managerial positions at the Hollywood Casino St Louis and River City locations. PENN has also confirmed that its Riverside location will host a sportsbook.
The state will release only two untethered mobile licences, for which DraftKings and FanDuel are front-runners, so other companies are looking for partnerships with casinos in the state. So, Companies like PENN Entertainment are looking for ways to offer sports betting through retail routes.
Fanatics SportsBook has applied for Missouri sports betting licence
In addition to PENN opening sportsbooks in Missouri, Fanatics has also applied for a mobile sports betting license from the Missouri Gaming Commission.
Fanatics has become the fifth operator to apply for a license before the market’s anticipated launch, following in the footsteps of other operators, including DraftKings and Underdog.
Missouri released a regulatory framework earlier this year that disclosed up to 19 retail and 14 online licenses would be available. If Fanatics gains a license, it would become the 23rd state in which the sportsbook operates. Soon, residents will be able to take advantage of Missouri sportsbook promos.
