Singapore Grand Prix Prediction 2025: Singapore GP Odds for Today

Will Max Verstappen get the job done after securing second place in qualifying, or can one of the others, including pole-sitter George Russell, raise some eyebrows?

Nine of the 14 Singapore Grand Prix winners started from pole position, which is where George Russell will begin today's race at Marina Bay Street Circuit (8 a.m. ET, ESPN).

My Singapore Grand Prix prediction backs Max Verstappen to win the race as the +100 betting favorite.

He finished second in qualifying as he attempts to win his third successive race. Meanwhile, Oscar Piastri is the most probable of the McLaren drivers to take the checkered flag.

💰 Singapore Grand Prix predictions & expert picks

Here are my best Singapore Grand Prix predictions for Sunday's race at Marina Bay Street Circuit - the 18th of 24 races on the 2025 schedule.

Editor's note: Picks were made on Monday, Sept. 29

🏆 Pick to win Singapore Grand Prix: Max Verstappen (+250) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Verstappen became the first driver not named Norris or Oscar Piastri to win two straight Grand Prix races this season, taking the checkered flag in Italy and Azerbaijan.

Not only does the four-time defending champion have his mojo back, but the Singapore Grand Prix is conducive to a third successive victory for the Dutchman. It's the second-slowest track of the season, which suits cars that aren't as powerful or fast as McLaren's MCL39.

Combine that advantage with the fact that overtaking is particularly challenging, and you have a race tailor-fit for Verstappen - even though it's one of the rare events he hasn't won. That said, he finished second at least season's edition.

Of the best sports betting sites, you'll find the best value at bet365, where a winning $10 bet will yield a $20 profit.

💎 Best value bet to win Singapore Grand Prix: Lando Norris (+210) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Norris loves a good night race in Singapore, having won the event last year and finishing second the year before. While he struggled in Azerbaijan, coming in seventh, Norris usually saves his best for the bumpy and physically demanding Marina Bay Street Circuit.

In four of his previous six races, Norris finished first or second, but it hasn't been hunky dory for Norris lately. Still, he won't lack confidence, considering his current position in the standings - second behind teammate Piastri - and his excellent track record in the city state.

There are four DRS zones, which should benefit Norris if he finds himself chasing. My primary concern is Norris' recent qualifying woes. Nine of the 14 Singapore Grand Prix winners, including the Brit himself, have won from pole position. Norris hasn't won qualifying in the previous five races.

If he can snap that streak, he'll have the inside track to win his first race in the last four with a winning $10 bet at DraftKings returning a $21 profit.

🎯 Best long shot to win Singapore Grand Prix: Charles Leclerc (+1000) ⭐⭐

Leclerc represents the best of the rest, with the Ferrari driver finishing as runner-up twice previously in Singapore (2022 and 2019). He was fifth last season and fourth in the year prior, so the 27-year-old is usually among the lead pack.

My issue with Leclerc has been his inability to find a way to return to the top of the podium. Three of his previous five races saw him finish in third or fourth, and he has secured fourth or better in nine races thus far. Yet, he still hasn't won.

If that changes this weekend, a $10 bet at FanDuel would profit $100 as a long shot.
