Best Lions vs. Chiefs prediction

Here's what our NFL expert Connor Cooper wrote this week on why he's expecting a high-scoring affair on Sunday Night Football:

⬆️ Over 52.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Urgency is already setting in in Kansas City, where the 2-3 Chiefs can’t afford many more early-season slip-ups if they’re going to have a shot at winning the AFC West. KC also has a bitter taste in its mouth after committing 13 penalties, allowing a 99-yard pick-six and making several other mental miscues in Monday’s sloppy 31-28 loss at Jacksonville.

In order to beat the Lions, however, you’re going to have to score. Detroit has put up at least 34 points in four straight games, and quarterback Jared Goff has completed 70% or more of his passes in an NFL-record six straight on the road.

Cooper also breaks down his favorite ATS pick and best player prop bet tonight in his Lions vs. Chiefs prediction.

Best Lions vs. Chiefs player prop pick

Here's why our NFL expert Matt Jacob is backing Jared Goff to throw multiple touchdown passes tonight as his favorite Over/Under player prop pick for Sunday Night Football:

🦁 Jared Goff Over 1.5 passing TDs (-134) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lions quarterback Jared Goff has thrown multiple TDs 15 times in 20 starts since Week 3 of last season. That includes five scoring passes in Week 2 against Chicago; two against Cleveland in Week 4; and three last week at Cincinnati. It goes without saying that Goff is blessed with a multitude of weapons - far too many for any defense to control for 60 minutes.

That includes Kansas City, which has only allowed five TD passes in five games. Lamar Jackson and Trevor Lawrence each had one, but Justin Herbert had three in the opener. No quarterback, though, has more scoring strikes this year than Goff (12). Again: the weapons. Also working in Goff’s favor is an absolutely ideal Sunday night weather forecast.

Jacob is also fading Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco while betting on Patrick Mahomes to use his legs tonight with his Lions vs. Chiefs player props.

Best Lions vs. Chiefs anytime touchdown scorer pick

Here's why our NFL expert Esten McLaren is betting on Xavier Worthy to score a touchdown as part of his best anytime touchdown picks for Sunday Night Football:

💪 Xavier Worthy to score anytime TD (+145) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Xavier Worthy caught 11 of 17 targets in his first two games back from injury. He jumped from 43 offensive snaps (59%) to 49 (77%) between the two games, and should be heavily featured again in what our best NFL betting sites project as a tight, high-scoring game on Sunday night.

The Lions have given up seven touchdowns to wide receivers through five weeks, allowing 8.60 yards per target to the position. While they hold receivers to just a 59.1% catch rate, Worthy has a higher chance than most to break a big play.

McLaren is also betting on two Lions pass-catchers to reach the end zone tonight with his Lions vs. Chiefs anytime touchdown scorer predictions.

Best Lions vs. Chiefs first touchdown scorer pick

Here's why our NFL expert Phil Wood is betting on Amon-Ra St. Brown to score the first touchdown tonight on Sunday Night Football:

🥇 Amon-Ra St. Brown to score first TD (+1000) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amon-Ra St. Brown has scored six touchdowns this season, but he’s yet to score first in a game. However, when making this wager, I’m looking for consistency, and St. Brown has been just that. He has a touchdown in three of his five games, has received at least six targets in every contest, and has recorded at least seven catches in four consecutive games.

The Chiefs have one of the better pass defenses in football, allowing just 190.6 yards and 1.0 touchdowns per game. But the run defense has only allowed six touchdowns, so taking someone like Jahmyr Gibbs to score first (+600) doesn’t provide as much value, especially since St. Brown has more touchdowns.

Wood is also backing Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce along with a 60/1 long shot for the Lions with his Lions vs. Chiefs first touchdown scorer predictions.

Best Lions vs. Chiefs same-game parlay

Here's what our NFL expert Brenden Schaeffer has cooked up for his best Lions vs. Chiefs same-game parlay for Sunday Night Football:

🚀 Best Lions vs. Chiefs parlay for SNF

  • Chiefs -2.5 (-108) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Over 52.5 (-112) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Tyquan Thornton Over 26.5 receiving yards (-111) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +500 via DraftKings ($10 to win $50)
