- The Sunday Night Football odds have the Vikings (-5) hosting the Falcons in a clash between two of the league's more intriguing young signal-callers
- The Monday Night Football odds give us a doubleheader
- Houston is a 3-point betting favorite against visiting Tampa Bay in the early game at 7 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN)
- An AFC West rivalry meeting between the Chargers (-3.5) and Raiders serves as the nightcap (10 p.m. ET, ESPN)
Biggest Week 2 line movement
The first week of the NFL season has given us some major line shakeups as teams didn't perform as expected, and injuries clobbered some squads. Here is a look at some of the biggest movers in Week 2, and the cause of those shakeups
- The Jets have shortened from an 8.5-point underdog vs. the Bills to 6.5 points following a strong performance against the Steelers, despite the loss
- A lackluster showing from the Bengals against Cleveland moved them from a favorite of 5.5 to just 3.5 against the visiting Jaguars
- Weak offensive showings from the Rams and Titans moved their total from 45.5 to 42
- The Cowboys were more competitive than most expected against the Eagles, while the Giants fell flatter than most imagined, as Dallas jumped from -3 to -6
- The Saints moved from from +7 to +4.5 while the total plummeted from 44.5 to 41, based in large part on San Francisco injuries, such as Brock Purdy as reported by Adam Schefter
- The Cardinals moved from -4.5 to -6.5 based on an opening-week win combined with the Panthers failing to perform
- Denver's offense sputtered but its defense showed out, resulting in the total moving from 44.5 to 42.5 against Indianapolis
- An opening week loss has deflated the Chiefs in the eyes of bettors, flipping the line from KC -1.5 to KC +1 against Philadelphia in a rematch of last year's Super Bowl
- The largest move of the week was 4 points off the total between the Bucs and Texans, slipping from 46.5 to 42.5
- The Chargers and Raiders both performed better than expected in their opening games, resulting in their totals jumping from 44.5 to 47
