💰 Best player prop bets for Capitals vs. Rangers
Our NHL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.
⬆️ Aliaksei Protas Over 1.5 shots (-120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Protas is pacing the Capitals with four points through two games, including a two-goal, one-assist effort yesterday against the New York Islanders, and analytics back up his production. He also leads the Caps in Corsi and Fenwick rating, has attempted 14 shots, and has had seven high or medium unblocked shot attempts, per Moneypuck.
After enjoying four individual high-danger chances and drawing a pair of penalties yesterday, Protas should carry that momentum into today’s meeting with the Rangers.
A $10 bet at FanDuel’s -120 odds implies a 54.55% probability he records multiple shots on goal, with a potential profit of $8.33 on a $10 wager.
⬆️ Alexis Lafreniere Over 0.5 points (-102) ⭐⭐⭐
Lafreniere has been dangerous in each of the Rangers’ three games this season, generating 0.4 expected goals or more in each of those contests, according to Moneypuck. Six of his 11 shot attempts have come from high or medium danger areas.
He’s also receiving increased power-play time while Vincent Trocheck is sidelined by an upper-body injury. And while Lafreniere’s shot volume was down in yesterday’s 6-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins with Mika Zibanejad replacing Trocheck as his center, he still recorded unblocked shot attempts from high and medium danger zones.
FanDuel’s -102 odds suggest a 50.5% chance that Lafreniere records a point today. A winning $10 wager returns $9.80 profit.
⬆️ Jakob Chychrun Over 0.5 points (+126) ⭐⭐⭐
Chychrun is driving Washington’s offense from the back end, earning primary assists on three of the Capitals’ five goals so far this season. Yesterday against the Islanders, the Caps were +14 in shot attempts while Chychrun was on the ice, generating seven more scoring chances than they allowed.
He’s also firing the puck at every opportunity, pacing Washington with 19 shot attempts through two games.
DraftKings is offering the best price on Chychrun to record at least a point, paying +126, but FanDuel is another strong option at +125. A $10 bet at DraftKings can return $12.60 in profit, with an implied probability of 44.25%.
